Payroll Administrator

Salary: $50,000 – $70,000

Key Responsibilities for the Payroll Administrator:
  • Own end-to-end payroll processing for multiple employee groups (hourly, salaried, stipends) using Paycor
  • Maintain payroll data including new hires, compensation changes, deductions, and direct deposits
  • Audit payroll for accuracy and compliance prior to each submission
  • Handle specialized compensation elements such as housing and allowances
  • Support payroll tax filings, W-2s, reconciliations, and audit requests
  • Partner with Finance on payroll reporting, general ledger coordination, and expense tracking
  • Serve as the go-to payroll resource for employees and internal stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, documentation, and system efficiency
Qualifications for the Payroll Administrator:
  • 2+ years of payroll experience
  • Experience with Paycor or a similar HRIS/payroll system
  • Strong understanding of payroll fundamentals including taxes, deductions, and compliance
  • Advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivots, reconciliations)
  • High attention to detail, discretion, and strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • FPC or CPP certification
  • Nonprofit or multi-site payroll experience
  • Familiarity with specialized or non-traditional compensation structures
