Are you a detail-oriented payroll professional looking for an opportunity to make an impact? Our client, a well-established Manufacturing company in the Indianapolis area, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their accounting and finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where accuracy, customer service, and process improvement are valued. Responsibilities- Process multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule
- Maintain payroll records and employee compensation information
- Review and audit payroll data including wages, deductions, taxes, and benefits
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Prepare and distribute W-2s, payroll reports, and other required documentation
- Process garnishments, benefit deductions, and payroll adjustments
- Reconcile payroll accounts and assist with month-end reporting
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Partner with Human Resources regarding new hires, terminations, and employee changes
- Assist with payroll audits and support continuous process improvements
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience
- Knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience processing payroll for multiple employees and pay groups
- Proficiency with payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, UKG, Workday, or similar systems
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation
- Multi-state payroll experience
- Experience with HRIS and ERP systems
Pay Details: $28.00 to $32.00 per hour
