About the Opportunity

A well-established, mission-driven organization is looking for a
** Senior Accountant
** to join a highly tenured team and play a key role in strengthening and rebuilding their accounting processes. With new finance leadership in place, this person will have significant opportunity to make an impact, improve processes, and grow within the organization.

What They’re Looking For

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience; open to more seasoned candidates
- Strong GL and balance sheet experience, including reconciliations
- Journal entry experience
- Grant tracking/coordination experience preferred
- Nonprofit experience preferred
- Highly tech-savvy with the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Someone who enjoys process improvement and isn't afraid to dig into a cleanup project

Key Responsibilities

- Manage general ledger and balance sheet activities, including account reconciliations
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Track and coordinate grants
- Assist with accounting cleanup and process improvements
- Help rebuild and improve accounting procedures and systems
- Support the team through an upcoming software implementation
