The Office of Judicial Administration is responsible for the efficient administration of all agencies that operate under the direction of the Chief Justice and the Supreme Court. That includes 200 personnel; fiscal management; communication; technology; legal services; intergovernmental relations; services for the trial courts; and support for court boards, commissions, and committees. The Office is headed by Interim Chief Administrative Officer Aaron Hood, who reports directly to the Chief Justice of Indiana and serves as the link between the Chief Justice and the agencies of the Court.

Salary:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $42,900.00 but may be commensurate with education and/or experience.

About the Job:

This position serves as an Administrative Assistant for the Office of Judge and Attorney Regulation, providing general administrative support. This position has multiple key duties, including daily mail operations (electronic and hard-copy mail), scanning and inputting grievances into the case management system, opening case files, sending out correspondence for attorneys and office manager, answering phones, and other administrative tasks as assigned.

A Day in the Life:

Performs communication and administrative support for multiple attorneys, office manager, and Executive Director. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Manage daily mail operations (electronic and hard copy) and maintain attorney advertising notices.

* Assist with shipping and receiving packages and notifying appropriate parties of deliveries in a timely fashion.

* Scan and process all grievances and uploading them into the case management system.

* Open case files for further investigation, when requested.

* Send out necessary correspondence as directed by attorneys, paralegals, office manager, and Executive Director.

* Mail complaint forms to inquiring individuals.

* Maintain dismissal list for monthly Commission meeting agenda.

* Screen and field incoming phone calls to the Disciplinary Commission and forward to appropriate persons.

* Check Disciplinary Commission voice mailbox and direct messages to appropriate persons.

* Occasional courier trips to the government center and Statehouse.

* Assist in scanning hard copy files for electronic storage.

* Serve as back up for another administrative assistant when needed.

* Assist with other additional tasks/projects as requested, including special projects.
