Administrative Management Specialist
Providing high level administrative assistance to an agency, department, or facility. Reviewing department or agency organizational structure and functions. Advising changes to promote efficiency and effectiveness. Administering staff functions in support of program areas. Preparing special reports on alternative methods of achieving new program responsibilities. Representing agency, institutions, or departments in various situations. Preparing responses to routine correspondence inquiries. Following up on plans, programs, policies, and procedures.
Ensuring progress and accomplishments. Meeting education and experience requirements such as a Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of experience, an Associate's Degree and 5+ years of experience, or at least 7+ years of experience in a similar role. Possessing thorough knowledge of administrative management theories, principles, practices, and methodology. Having specialized knowledge of state government administrative structures. Possessing attention to detail and proofreading skills.
Having effective verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrating organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and multitask. Being able to coordinate and motivate professional and support personnel. Being creative in developing alternatives to meet department needs. Being able to communicate complex theories and principles to a broad spectrum, both verbally and in writing. Having the ability to maintain cooperative work relationships.
