The University of Indianapolis is seeking a collaborative and innovative leader to serve as our next Registrar. In this vital role, you will be a champion for both students and faculty, working closely with the Associate Provost and collegiate deans to support the university's instructional mission. The Registrar oversees all core operations of the Office of the Registrar, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of student records, class scheduling, and academic policy implementation.

REQUIREMENTS/

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

* Significant leadership experience in a registrar's office or closely associated curricular or administrative office.

* High-level conceptual, analytical, and organizational skills.

* A demonstrated record of leadership.

* Innovative and process improvement oriented. In-depth knowledge of integrated student information systems and curriculum.

* Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with multiple and diverse constituent groups.

Education:

* Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.

Licenses/Certifications/Credentials:

* Familiarity with Ellucian Banner software and/or other student information system software, degree auditing systems, and higher-level statistical skills are highly desirable.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* The Registrar oversees all operations of the Office of the Registrar and its staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Serves on Academic Affairs Team and reports to the Associate Provost and is closely associated with the deans of each college/school.

* Oversees all functions of the Office of the Registrar, including: registration, creating the schedule of classes, instructional space assignment, and the creation/administration of the academic calendar.

* Data steward for student records in compliance with FERPA; manages student record administration to maximize efficiency and utility in compliance with state and federal regulations; ensures the security and integrity of student records via access and training.

* Creates and maintains the annual undergraduate catalog; maintains inventory of undergraduate curriculum guides; maintains degree audit system.

* Consults with academic departments and university wide on academic policy and curricular issues.

* Serves on faculty committees, university committees and administrative councils and plays a central role in advising on matters of academic policy and curriculum administration.

* Oversees the internal and external reporting functions/business intelligence creation of the Office of the Registrar.

* Collaborates with administrators, deans, faculty, IT and advisors to facilitate and improve services to students and faculty; provides leadership and develops appropriate recommendations for the implementation of related technology applications in support of enhanced services offered by the Office of the Registrar.

* Serves as the academic compliance contact for the NCAA rules and regulations in collaboration with the Athletics Office.

* Processes and communicates academic action and ineligibility reports at the end of Semester I, Semester II, and Summer Session.

* Serves as the back-up SCO for veteran affairs enrollment management.

* Principle in hiring, staff training and supervision, budget, technology, and planning for the Office of the Registrar.

* Assists in Commencement planning.

* Represents the university on statewide, regional and/or national committees and organizations as appropriate/available.

* Other duties as assigned by the Associate Provost.
