Senior Construction Safety Engineer | Data Center | CSP/CHST | Mission Critical Projects
Immediate need for a talented Senior Construction Safety Engineer. This is a 06+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Indianapolis, IN (Onsite).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead construction safety initiatives on mission-critical infrastructure projects.
- Perform project risk assessments and develop safe work execution plans.
- Support construction teams throughout installation, commissioning, and startup activities.
- Conduct field safety inspections and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Partner with contractors, project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to maintain Zero Incident project goals.
- Lead incident investigations, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), corrective actions, and lessons learned.
- Develop and improve Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs and best practices.
- Review construction methods, safety plans, and work permits.
- Evaluate safety impacts of new construction methods, materials, and equipment.
- Support retrofit projects within active data centers and occupied mission-critical facilities.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, company safety requirements, and industry best practices.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships to promote a proactive safety culture.
- Maintain project documentation, reports, safety metrics, and communication updates.
