Multifamily Construction Superintendent
Based in Indianapolis, IN, we are an industry leader developing and constructing large-scale multifamily, mixed-use, and urban development projects that help shape growing communities.
We're seeking a Superintendent to lead field operations on complex residential and mixed-use developments. This role is ideal for a hands-on construction leader with experience managing subcontractors, driving schedules, maintaining quality standards, and delivering projects safely from groundbreaking through occupancy.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Direct all daily on-site construction activities including subcontractors, suppliers, field personnel, and project coordination
- Manage project schedules, critical path activities, milestone tracking, and recovery plans to ensure timely project completion
- Conduct daily quality inspections to verify work complies with drawings, specifications, and company standards
- Lead jobsite safety initiatives, safety meetings, OSHA compliance efforts, and risk mitigation activities
- Coordinate with Project Managers, owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and inspectors throughout project execution
- Maintain project documentation including daily reports, site logs, progress updates, and field communications
- Identify and resolve field conflicts, design issues, scheduling challenges, and construction obstacles before they impact project performance
- Drive productivity, accountability, and operational excellence across all phases of construction
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on multifamily, mixed-use, podium, wood-frame, or high-rise construction projects
- Experience managing subcontractors, schedules, site logistics, quality control, and safety programs
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, and field operations management
- Experience working directly with owners, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders
- Proficiency with construction management technology, daily reporting tools, and project documentation systems
