Construction Project Supervisor
We have an opening for a Construction Project Supervisor position in Indianapolis, Indiana. Candidates at both the Supervisor and Senior Supervisor levels are encouraged to apply, depending on their level of experience. This position offers a chance for advancement within a well-established construction firm specializing in the design and construction of commercial and industrial projects, such as schools, religious institutions, and other non-residential buildings. Previous experience in residential construction will not suffice.
The Supervisor will oversee all aspects of construction projects, from initial planning to final completion, collaborating closely with clients, field supervisors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed safely, with high quality, on time, and within budget.
Key responsibilities:
- Management of commercial and industrial construction projects from start to finish
- Acting as a primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, field teams, and internal management
- Developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, change orders, billing documents, and project documentation
- Reviewing drawings, work scopes, contracts, specifications, and project requirements
- Leading project meetings, monitoring progress, resolving issues, and keeping stakeholders updated
- Evaluating subcontractor performance, job costs, safety standards, quality, and regulatory compliance
- Providing support, mentorship, and coordination to project teams to promote accountability and drive results
Desired qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with managing commercial or industrial construction projects
- Preference for a background with a commercial design-build firm
- Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, Adobe, and Timberline/Sage software is a plus
- Strong understanding of construction practices, scheduling, budgeting, and documentation
- Ability to interpret and analyze plans, specifications, scopes of work, and contracts
- Effective communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Degree in construction management, engineering, civil engineering, or related field is preferred
