Role Overview
As a Mortgage Origination Customer Service Representative, you will use your mortgage background to assist others while expanding your knowledge of Federal Housing Administration (FHA) mortgage policies and procedures. This role involves responding to inquiries from the lending industry and the public regarding FHA guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by answering calls and emails on FHA guidelines and procedures.
- Use knowledge of the mortgage industry to locate answers in a knowledge database.
- Follow standard operating procedures for various topics, systems, and contact channels.
- Document all contacts in a database.
- Maintain current knowledge of FHA mortgage processes and procedures.
- Navigate multiple computer systems and applications.
Required Qualifications
- A High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate is required.
- 2+ years of mortgage origination experience (e.g., loan originator, loan processor, junior underwriter, loan officer) and 1+ years of contact center or telephone customer service experience is required.
- Keyboarding proficiency of at least 40 words per minute is required. The position requires strong time management, dependability, and communication skills, including telephone etiquette.

Candidates must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Public Trust clearance as a condition and continuation of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of FHA guidelines and procedures.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
- Experience in an omnichannel contact center.
Work Environment
Shifts are eight hours, scheduled between 7:30 AM and 6:30 PM ET, based on operational needs at the time of hire. All new hires will start on the same day, typically during the first full week of the month, to complete orientation and training.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $20.00 and $23.00 per hour.
