Senior Virtual Design and Construction Manager

Messer Construction is seeking a Senior Virtual Design and Construction Manager to lead VDC strategy and execution on complex commercial projects. In this role, you will oversee BIM models, coordination, and clash detection; integrate 3D/4D/5D workflows; and partner closely with project managers, superintendents, designers, and trade partners to drive constructability, safety, and quality. You will develop standards, mentor VDC staff, champion new technologies, and support pursuit efforts-contributing to Messer's culture of safety, integrity, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead VDC strategy, planning, and execution for complex commercial construction projects.
• Oversee creation, management, and quality control of BIM models across disciplines.
• Manage coordination and clash detection, driving timely resolution with design and trade partners.

• Develop and enforce VDC/BIM standards, workflows, and best practices across projects.
• Mentor and train VDC staff and project teams on tools, processes, and model-based collaboration.

• Support pursuit and preconstruction efforts with model-based visualizations and logistics planning.
• Evaluate and implement emerging VDC technologies to enhance project delivery.
• Ensure alignment of VDC efforts with Messer's safety, quality, and client service goals.
