Locums Physician - Infectious Disease Clinic + Call Indianapolis, IN (IMLC accepted)Why This Role

• Full-time locum coverage for maternity/paternity leave at a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Inpatient setting with no admissions required
• Work alongside a dedicated team including RN, MA, and APP support
Assignment Details
• Dates: 12/1/2025 - 6/30/2026
• Schedule:
  
  Scheduled clinical hours plus call
• Patients per shift: 15
• Call: 1 night per week, 1 weekend per month; beeper call; 30-minute response time
• EMR:
  Cerner
Clinical Details
• Required skills:
  
  Microscopic specimen evaluation, management of vascular access devices/central venous catheters, familiarity with IV medications, aspiration of abscess, arthrocentesis, lumbar puncture, thorntesis
• Not required:
  Central line plment, intrathecal administration of anti-infective agents, liver biopsy
Requirements
• Board eligible or board certified in Infectious Disease
• Fellowship in Infectious Disease
• Active IN license or IMLC
• BLS certification
Skills Needed
• Microscopic specimen evaluation

• Familiarity with intravenous medications
• Aspiration of abscess
• Arthrocentesis
