Organization Overview:

Job Summary:
The Student Support Interventionist is responsible for providing an additional layer of emotional, social and academic support to students. They collaborate with instructional staff, families, and other school personnel to achieve established classroom objectives and to improve overall student outcomes.
Essential
Job Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage student recovery plans while in recovery, as well as with transitioning students back into the classroom.
* Accurately track data for student support calls, students in the recovery program, and the behavior goal process.
* Manages student recovery room and in-school suspension as needed.
* Collaborate with teachers and parents to support student success while in the classroom, recovery and in-school suspension.
* Participate in grade-level and MTSS meetings along with individual coaching sessions to improve student outcomes.
* Participate in student investigations and allegations of bullying. Maintains accurate records and documentation in alignment with school policies.
* Utilizes various curriculum techniques, including the Enlace Sensory Room, Love and Logic, and Teach Like a Champion, to support student's needs throughout the day.
* Establishes a daily classroom schedule and routine that incorporates leading small group sessions around social skills, cooperative skills, communication skills, and academic habits for success.
* Respond to student support calls.
* Supports the Dean/Assistant School Leader with implementing a positive school culture.
* Maintains open dialogue with parents to support the well-being of students.
* Manage a small group of students each day, including supporting students with their academic work, as assigned by the full-time classroom teacher.
* Supports and executes supervisory roles in building-wide systems such as lunch duty, transitions, arrival and dismissal, etc.
* Other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
* At least 3+ years of working with K-8 students
* Experience with research-based behavior management programs (e.g., Love and Logic, Leader In Me, Teach Like a Champion, Social Emotional Learning).
* Spanish or Haitian Creole fluency
Physical
Qualifications:
* Ability to lift and/or move up to 25-50 pounds (e.g., assisting with student mobility or classroom materials)
* Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time
* Ability to respond quickly in emergencies (may include running or moving swiftly)
* Ability to remain calm and physically present during behavioral interventions
Preferred Qualifications:
* 5+ years of behavioral support experience
* Bachelor's Degree in Education or equivalent
