Position Overview

Invent Learning Hub (ILH) is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and student-centered Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate is committed to equity, individualized instruction, and ensuring that all students - regardless of ability - have access to rigorous academic content and meaningful growth.

This educator will provide specialized instruction, case management, and collaborative support services aligned with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) while contributing to ILH's culture of innovation, accountability, and strong relationships.

Invent Learning Hub is an independent public charter school located on the southeast side of Indianapolis. Now in our 7th year, ILH is grounded in innovation, high expectations, and a belief that every student can grow. We prioritize personalized learning, collaboration, and whole-child development.

Essential Responsibilities

Instruction & Student Support

* Provide direct specialized instruction aligned to students' IEP goals.

* Adapt and modify curriculum to ensure access to grade-level standards.

* Deliver small group and push-in support services as appropriate.

* Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions.

* Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on data.

Case Management & Compliance

* Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with federal and state regulations.

* Maintain accurate and timely documentation.

* Coordinate and lead case conferences.

* Conduct progress monitoring and prepare required reports.

* Collaborate with service providers (speech, OT, etc.) to ensure cohesive support.

Collaboration

* Partner with general education teachers to support inclusion and differentiation.

* Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and needs.

* Participate actively in MTSS processes and data meetings.

* Contribute positively to ILH's collaborative and solutions-oriented staff culture.

Classroom Culture

* Foster a supportive, structured, and inclusive learning environment.

* Promote independence, self-advocacy, and student confidence.

* Maintain high expectations for both academic and behavioral growth.

Qualifications

Required:

* Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.

* Valid Indiana Special Education teaching license (or ability to obtain).

* Knowledge of IDEA regulations and IEP development.

* Strong organizational and documentation skills.

* Commitment to equity and individualized student growth.

Preferred:

* Experience in a charter school setting.

* Experience with inclusion models and co-teaching.

* Familiarity with MTSS and progress monitoring tools.

* Experience supporting students with a range of disabilities.
