150) with any associated lab session. This is a part-time, non-tenure track position.
The position will include but is not limited to:
* lecture preparation and delivery
* oversight of laboratory experiments
* creation and grading of assessments
* classroom management
* coordination with other members of the department as there are multiple sections of these courses each semester.
REQUIREMENTS/
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience
● A demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and outstanding interpersonal and collaborative team skills are required.
● Experience with or interest in alternative instructional modes, such as web-based instruction, cooperative learning or integrated curricula is preferred.
Education
● Masters in chemistry or a related discipline is required.
● Ph.D. in chemistry or related discipline is preferred
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
* Prepare and deliver lectures to undergraduate students on topics relevant to general/introductory chemistry
* Evaluate and grade students' class work, laboratory work, assignments, papers and examinations.
* Supervise laboratory sessions, coordinate laboratory operations, and supervise undergraduate lab assistants.
* Keep abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.
* Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
* Maintain regularly scheduled office hours in order to advise and assist students on academic and vocational curricula and on career issues.
* Follow the guidance and direction of supervisor(s).
* Demonstrate respectful, ethical, responsible behavior.
* Abide by the University's policies, procedures, and rules.
* Perform employee responsibilities as detailed in employee handbooks and policies.
* Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
