Seeking a dual language social studies teacher at Lawrence North High School.

This educator must be well prepared to deliver high quality instruction and classroom management as part of MSDLT's continued commitment to increase our students' access to rigorous, educational opportunities, as well as being collaborative and willing to share and accept ideas from colleagues.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Indiana teaching license in Social Studies
• Effective communicative and collaborative skill
• Have an innovative passion for making history "come-alive"
• Engage in critical reflection and inquiry in order to improve knowledge and skills to effectively engage students and improve their learning
• Able to develop collaborative relationships with students and colleagues
• Be an interactive member of our team by being present and supportive to our students in their after-school activities

Recommended Qualifications (one or more of the following)

• Experience teaching, preferably in social studies
• Economics on valid Indiana teaching license
• AP Research Training, or willingness to acquire necessary credentials
• AP Training for Social Studies courses or willingness to acquire necessary credentials
• Dual Credit (ACP) Certification or willingness to acquire necessary credentials
• Dual Language - experience teaching bilingual students; preferably in a dual language setting
