Literacy Coach K-8

Position: Literacy Coach for K-8
St. Michael-St. Gabriel, located on the west side of Indianapolis, is hiring a literacy coach for the  school year. The applicant would be interviewed by the school itself but must be approved by the Indiana Department of Education.

Key Responsibilities Included (but not limited to):

* Engage in observations, instructional modeling, and lesson planning with reading teachers

* Participate in ongoing professional learning throughout the contract period

* Complete all required documentation for the Literacy Cadre for the state

* Review data with reading teachers to improve instruction

Qualifications:

* Have at least a bachelor's degree

* Hold a valid, professional Indiana Teacher's License

* Have obtained the Early Literacy Endorsement by the state of Indiana

* Demonstrate an expertise in implementing evidence-based instructional practices grounded in the science of reading

* Demonstrate expertise in literacy coaching

* Have a minimum of five years of teaching experience
