Kindergarten Instructional Assistant
The Metropolitan School District of Washington Township (MSDWT) has an opportunity for a Kindergarten Instructional Assistant at Spring Mill Elementary School. This part-time position works 6 hours per day for the school year (185 days) and is classified as non-exempt, hourly with a rate of $17.00 per hour. Additional compensation is provided for college degrees. Benefits include paid illness and personal business days, seven paid holidays, and district contributions to VEBA and 401A retirement accounts.
The Kindergarten Instructional Assistant supports teachers in classroom instruction by preparing lesson materials, monitoring student activities, ensuring student safety, and maintaining a clean workspace. The role involves re-teaching and tutoring sessions, identifying students below standards, and fostering a culture of learning. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and communicate effectively.
