The Metropolitan School District of Washington Township (MSDWT) has an opportunity for a Kindergarten Instructional Assistant at Crooked Creek Elementary School. This is a part-time position working 6 hours per day for the school year (185 days). The hourly rate is $17.00, with benefits including paid illness and personal business days, seven paid holidays, and district contributions to VEBA and 401A retirement accounts.

The Kindergarten Instructional Assistant will work under the direction of the Principal and Assistant Principal, assisting students by modeling necessary skills, following educational and behavioral plans, and modeling appropriate behaviors and interactions. Essential functions include assisting teachers in classroom instruction, monitoring student activities, preparing instructional materials, maintaining a clean workspace, managing student behavior, providing re-teaching and tutoring sessions, and implementing instructional programs.

Physical requirements include the ability to stand for extended periods, carry and lift 25 pounds occasionally, work at a desk or conference table very frequently, see for reading and communication very frequently, communicate clearly, operate job-related equipment, and reach in all directions very frequently.
