Eis/elearning And Instructional Specialist
Directly support teachers in the implementation of the instructional model, integration of technology and the implementation of an l:l learning platform. Plays an active role in the instructional coaching model. Plays an active role at the building level in the elearning initiatives, including facilitation of professional development, integration of devices for student learning, and policy development. Assist in the development of the overall implementation plan for instructional technology.
Promote the effective use of information resources and instructional technology. Supervise and evaluate the daily operation of the Media Center and the Media Instructional Assistant. Provide input to building administration regarding performance of ecoaches, department chairs, and instructional coaches (middle school). Assist in the transformation of the traditional media centers into a 21st century information commons and technology hub for all students and staff members.
Oversee the inventorying of all informational resources, including paper and technological resources. Promote digital citizenship and responsible use of technology amongst staff, students and parents. Work collaboratively with other district staff, such as data coaches and technology integration trainers, to connect technology with instructional best practices. Attend regularly scheduled meetings with assistant director of workforce readiness. District level responsibilities to include instructional support and evaluative support (i.e. ftem) of all secondary buildings, including mcit and laa, and the vertical articulation between both elementary to middle school and middle to high school in terms of instructional coaching, data systems, etc.
