About the Indiana School for the Deaf (ISD):
The Indiana School for the Deaf (ISD) is a fully accredited school for Deaf and hard-of-hearing students in nursery school through high school. It provides services to approximately 342 students enrolled on campus. About 60% of the students live on campus during the academic year. ISD offers a full range of social activities, including sports, clubs, and organizations.

The Director of Related Services supervises staff who coordinate services required by Individual Education Plans (IEPs). You will ensure that services are in compliance with Indiana Department of Education standards and will coordinate with internal and external agencies to provide necessary services.

Salary:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $65,000.00 but may be commensurate with education and work experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Serves as Indiana IEP system manager.
• Act as liaison between all building staff and state system.
• Plans and facilitates professional development for appropriate district staff.
• Prepares timely and accurate documentation and reports data to the Indiana Department of Education.
• Monitors admission policy and procedures for incoming students.
• Oversees IEP progress monitoring for all students.
• Provides support to principals related to students' needs.
• Supervises Support Services Staff.
• Oversees and monitors Medicaid Billing Services.
• Collaborates with other state agencies regarding IDEAL.
• Maintains active communication with the State government in order to keep staff aware of state mandates and accreditation requirements.
• Assists in the accreditation process to ensure the school meets the Department of Education requirements.
• Serves as a liaison and member of various committees to provide communication and coordination for improved services to students (Autism, deaf-blind, etc.).
• Serves as liaison between ISD and Aspire.
• Ensure compliance of:
  Accommodations of ISTAR. Daily classroom IEP requirements. Extended School Year (ESY) to include planning and communication with parents and teachers. Follow dates determined at IEP meeting.
• Work with Crisis Prevention Intervention team with the following: CPI refresher trainings. CPI trainings for all staff. Follow-up on any crisis with the team as needed to ensure compliance of ISD policies and procedures.
• Coordinate Extended School Year (ESY) program by:
  Working with IEP administrators. Hiring ESY Staff. Providing training to ESY staff. Communicating with parents of students receiving ESY. Monitoring compliance in order to ensure students' needs are met during ESY.

This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours that may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.

Credentials:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Additional qualifications:

Willingness to attend, participate in, and successfully complete in-service training programs (at least 40 hours annually, including mandatory certifications such as CPR, personal protection, etc.).
