We are looking for a Roadway Design Engineer in Indianapolis, IN with the opportunity to work on signature projects and collaborate with other design staff. Key Responsibilities

* Support the completion of roadway design tasks through collaboration with project teams and mentorship from senior engineers

* Work closely with Project Managers to ensure designs meet schedule and budget expectations

* Gain valuable experience with the opportunity to grow into a Project Manager role through mentorship and increasing responsibility

* Prepare timely and accurate design drawings, details, presentations, and construction documents in accordance with applicable standards

* Assist in the preparation of permit applications and submittal packages for review by regulatory agencies

* Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, permitting agencies, right of way staff, utility providers, project stakeholders, and contractors under the direction of senior staff

* Support the development and tracking of project scopes, schedules, and budgets to ensure project objectives are met

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

* A minimum of 4 years experience in all technical aspects of roadway design

* Experience working with INDOT is a plus

* Experience with Open Roads Designer preferred

* PE Certification is preferred

* Detail-oriented individual with strong technical and organizational skills

* Proficiency in spreadsheets, word processing and standard industry software.

* Works well in multidisciplinary team environments and ability to meet deadlines.

* Strong oral presentation and written communication skills

* A self-starter that can take initiatives with key stakeholders
