Title: Senior Automation Engineer

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Duration: 6 months

Visa: USC, GC

Rate: $70/Hr.

Client: Pharmaceutical Company
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee technical aspects of the project, including system integrator management, and ensure alignment with program automation standards.
  • Collaborate with the Automation Project Manager and Digital/MES leads to deliver integrated automation and digital solutions on schedule and budget.
  • Provide technical leadership to area leads, ensuring consistency, compliance, and adherence to applicable standards in automation deliverables.
  • Participate in design reviews (e.g., P&, control strategies) and define software components for modification or creation.
  • Review, approve, and support development of functional requirements, specifications, parameters, recipes, and testing strategies.
  • Address technical queries, track post-acceptance issues, and identify/remediate process control software risks.
  • Plan and implement software testing strategies and risk mitigation measures for technical challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with GMPs, regulatory standards, computer system validation, and training requirements.
  • Maintain strong communication with the project manager, reporting progress, issues, and needs.
  • Leverage extensive experience in pharmaceutical automation to ensure successful project execution.
Role Requirements
  • Education: BS in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of automation experience in the pharmaceutical industry (preferably API/bulk manufacturing).
  • Expertise in large pharmaceutical automation projects/programs.
  • 7+ years' experience with Delta

    V Batch DCS; experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs preferred.
  • Previous experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing projects or sites.
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • In-depth knowledge of GMPs, regulatory requirements, and computer system validation principles.
  • Proven ability to manage risks, lead teams, and ensure project compliance.
