Drive your career forward, with this opportunity as a Test Engineer located in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Summary:

As the Test Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, managing, developing and oversight of the execution of test procedures, data collection, and analysis.  Work involves testing/analyzing various powertrain systems/sub-systems in the test cell and/or vehicle level environment.  The Test Engineer will be responsible for standardizing procedures, configuring test systems, data collection & analysis, test reports and working closely daily as an interface between our valued internal/external business partners and support personnel.  

The role will provide opportunity for hands-on involvement with Allison products, industrial test equipment, test operating controls systems, and powertrain systems including high horsepower engines, input and output dynamo meters, propulsion systems, drive lines, heat exchangers, and cooling systems.  This person will share knowledge, assist and train other engineers by a team approach in all projects.

In this role, you will be a valuable part of the team by:

+  Establish and generate standard operating procedures and document practices

+  Utilization of a systems engineering approach to design, develop, implement, and complete reliable, repeatable testing in support of business needs and timing

+  Contribute and help lead department continuous improvement activities to increase testing efficiency, reduce cost, and drive high levels of quality

+  Assumes appropriate responsibilities as a member of the assigned product development team

+  Participates and leads planning efforts and/or status meetings

+  Promotes collaboration on all work related assignments

+  Maintains willingness to share professional knowledge and experience with teammates
