What You'll Do as a Power Control Specialist
In this role, you'll manage and configure power control projects from quotation through final billing, ensuring technical accuracy, on-time delivery, and customer service excellence
You'll:
Interpret customer-provided documentation (electrical drawings, one-line drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications) to build accurate proposals that meet project requirements
Configure and manage power control projects using vendor tools such as Rockwell Power Control Builder, Power One, SAP, Eclipse, and related systems
Collaborate closely with Account Managers regarding bids, open orders, order status, and customer communication
Serve as a technical resource with knowledge of power control systems, vendor products, and basic communication networks
Build and maintain strong working relationships across Kirby Risk departments, business units, and vendor partners
Monitor job queues, open order reports, and project progress to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
Provide backup support for other Power Product Specialists as needed
Represent Kirby Risk with professionalism in every customer and vendor interaction.
What Makes You a Great Fit
College-level coursework or 4+ years of relevant electrical or power control experience
3+ years of electrical product or power control sales experience
Strong knowledge of electrical products, control systems, and their applications
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Microsoft Office Proficiency
Continuous learner and collaborative team player
What to Expect in This Role
Ability to lift, push, pull, carry up to 50 lbs.
Primarily onsite with time spent in office, warehouse, and customer-site environments
Occasional outdoor work and exposure to varying noise levels and conditions
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm
Occasional travel required
