** Position Overview*
* The New Product Development Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and validation of residential HVAC systems and components. This role supports innovation initiatives and works cross-functionally with laboratory, manufacturing, and product engineering teams to deliver high-performance, manufacturable solutions.
** Key Responsibilities*
* + Design and develop residential HVAC systems and subsystems
+ Develop andvalidatethermal and system-level models to support design decisions
+ Collaborate with laboratory teams on performance, reliability, and compliance testing
+ Evaluate system readiness for manufacturability and production
+ Partner with manufacturing to translate design requirements into scalable solutions
+ Troubleshoot system-level issues and support continuous improvement efforts
+ Support multiple small projects or tasks to meet program objectives
** Minimum Qualifications*
* + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Technicalfield
** and at least 3 years of*
* ** experience
* * with engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and design
+
** OR
* * Master'sdegree and at least 1 year of experience with engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and design
** Preferred Qualifications*
* + Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics
+ Experience in HVAC system design or related field
+ Knowledge of material science and reliability engineering fundamentals
+
Experience with design of experiments and data analysis techniques
+
Experience with MATLAB,Modelica, or Python
** Core Competencies*
* + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
+ High attention to detail and organization
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
** Additional Information*
* + This role requires onsite presence in Indianapolis
+ Candidates should be comfortable working with lab teams, technicians, and manufacturing partners
Must be permanent US Resident.
** Pay Range*
* The annual salary for this position is between $64,500.00 - $ annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
** Other Compensation*
* This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
