As a manufacturing engineer, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of the external supply chain manufacturing activities with accountability to ensure quality, cost, and delivery requirements are met for the designated programs within Liberty Works Advance Development in our Indianapolis Facility's. You will lead a cross functional team, with manufacturing emphasis, to achieve program objectives and deliver products to the customer at the right time, cost, quality and responsiveness.
This role will ensure that robust manufacturing tools & methodologies are in place for all key manufacturing resources and ensure consistent performance governance across the area of responsibility utilizing the standard tools.

What you will be doing
With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:
- Provide manufacturing input to design engineering to assure component designs are produce-able & facilitate DFx supplier events
- Consult with Design Engineers for manufacturability
- Represent manufacturing perspective regarding component sourcing strategy
- Develop & conduct supplier manufacturing readiness and technical risk assessments
- Provide support to supplier wrt quality requirements (FPA, FAIR, PPAP; SABRe)
- Perform supplier hardware delivery source inspections
- Create the environment for continuous improvement with the emphasis on sharing and searching for best practice

Basic Requirements:
- Associates degree in Engineering, Technology or Business with 4+ years' experience within Operations, Manufacturing, Quality or Purchasing, or
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Technology or Business with 2+ years' experience within Operations, Manufacturing, Quality or Purchasing, or
- Masters Degree in Engineering, Technology or Business, or
- JD/PhD, or
- In lieu of degree, 6+ years of experience with Operations, Manufacturing, Quality & Purchasing activity in a Manufacturing environment
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and ability to obtain and hold a DoD secret clearance.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as lean six sigma Blackbelt
- Achieve Certified Rolls-Royce source inspector status
- Strong understanding of SABRe, FAIR, PPAP requirements
- Experience of operating within a global manufacturing environment
- Experience with RR controls manufacturing and certification process
