Mechanical Engineer
Responsible for all phases of mechanical engineering on a project or projects. Work is usually performed under very minimal direction. Assignments may be received in terms of specific work objectives, but will usually be in broad, general work objectives. Has latitude and may at all times exercise full technical responsibility. Coordinates all mechanical design aspects of the assigned project or projects with appropriate departments.
Provides the overall mechanical design, administrative, and technical supervision on assigned projects. Reviews completed design for correctness, quality, and operability and provides technical guidance or advice to other staff. Requires an undergraduate degree in Engineering or a technological/scientific discipline and 3-5 years work experience.
