Senior Aviation Engineering Project Manager
A growing and innovative engineering firm is looking to add a Senior Aviation Engineering Project Manager for their Indianapolis team!
Responsibilities include:
Business Development: Develop new business, identify/market additional business opportunities for existing clients, client relations management, participate in proposal presentations, utilize CRM for tracking all business development activities, meet with new/existing clients to gather project information, develop proposal sections and scopes of work with technical staff.
Management: Manage overall financial performance and day-to-day operations, implement growth/sales plans, develop strategic plan for department, manage/deliver quality aviation projects on-time and within budget, meet/exceed client expectations, conduct job hazard analysis, create job site specific health/safety plans, mentor/train junior staff, utilize staff to keep project on budget.
Technical: Manage multiple projects at once, provide technical direction/development on scope of work, mitigate project risk, assign projects to designers/engineers, manage scope, identify/document changes in scope and acquire amendments for changes, perform airfield civil engineering design tasks, manage the bidding process, prepare complex studies, construction documents, drawings, maps, reports and supporting documentation, provide senior QC review and direction, visit work sites to monitor project progress, communicate regularly with clients, define scope of work and man-hour requirements, ensure tasks, project schedules, and budgets are met, create engineering reports, specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packages, lead project decisions regarding technical aspects, cost, and schedule, identify schedule/cost variances and recommend corrective action.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Master's degree in civil engineering is preferred, 8+ years of significant airside design, PE License, experience in the successful application of FAA criteria/regulations, project management experience, business development/marketing experience (writing proposals, scopes of work, budgets).
