R.T. Moore Co., Inc., a family-owned mechanical contractor in Indianapolis, seeks a CAD Designer to produce detailed drawings for plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems on residential, multi-family, and commercial projects. You'll convert engineer and project manager concepts into accurate construction documents, coordinate with other trades, and support design-build workflows. Responsibilities
- Develop accurate CAD drawings for plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems for residential, multi-family, and commercial projects.
- Convert design concepts and markups from engineers and project managers into detailed construction documents.
- Coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, and other trade plans to identify and resolve clashes.
- Update and revise drawings throughout the project lifecycle based on field changes and feedback.
- Maintain organized CAD files, drawing standards, and templates consistent with company guidelines.
- Collaborate with project teams to meet deadlines and support design-build workflows.
- Assist in preparing layouts, schedules, and detail sheets for permit and construction sets.
- Support continuous improvement of drafting standards and best practices.
