Component Design Engineer

Rolls Royce Motor Cars is seeking a Component Design Engineer to develop precision components for ultra luxury vehicles. You will translate performance, safety, and aesthetic requirements into detailed designs, using CAD/CAE tools to create and validate robust solutions. Collaborating with manufacturing, quality, and craftsmanship teams, you'll optimize materials, tolerances, and manufacturability while maintaining Rolls Royce's exacting standards. You'll support prototyping, testing, and release to production, driving continuous improvement and innovation in line with BMW Group processes and global best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components for ultra-luxury vehicles using CAD tools
• Translate performance, safety, and aesthetic requirements into detailed engineering specifications
• Perform analysis and validation (e.g., FEA, tolerance studies) to ensure robust designs
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and craftsmanship teams to optimize DFM/DFASupport prototype build, testing, and design iterations
• Prepare and maintain engineering drawings, BOMs, and documentation in PLM systems
• Ensure designs comply with Rolls-Royce, BMW Group, and regulatory standards
• Drive continuous improvement in component performance, quality, and cost
