Rolls Royce seeks a Technical Lead for US naval control and electrical systems within our manufacturing operations. You will own system architecture, integration, and validation for complex naval applications, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with defense and marine standards. Partnering with design, production, and quality teams, you'll guide requirements, review schematics, direct testing, and resolve issues on the shop floor. You'll mentor engineers, drive continuous improvement, and support customer and supplier technical reviews in a precision driven, safety focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and integration of naval control and electrical systems for manufacturing programs
- Translate vehicle and customer requirements into detailed technical specifications
- Oversee system architecture, selection, and validation of electrical components
- Collaborate with cross functional engineering, production, and quality teams
- Conduct FMEA, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with naval, safety, and electromagnetic compatibility standards
- Review and approve drawings, schematics, and documentation
- Mentor engineers and technicians, promoting best practices and continuous improvement
- Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of control systems
- Interface with customers and suppliers on technical issues and design reviews
