System Safety and Reliability Engineer

Rolls Royce Motor Cars is seeking a System Safety and Reliability Engineer to ensure the highest safety and reliability standards across ultra luxury vehicle systems. You will lead safety analyses (FMEA, FTA, HAZOP), define system safety requirements, and drive compliance with automotive functional safety standards. Partner with design, manufacturing, and test teams to assess risks, investigate failures, and implement robust corrective actions.

You will develop reliability models, support validation plans, and use data to improve system performance, all within a craftsmanship driven, innovative, and safety focused environment connected to the BMW Group.

Responsibilities

• Lead system safety analyses including FMEA, FTA, and hazard assessments for vehicle systems.
• Define and maintain system safety and reliability requirements for new and existing products.
• Ensure compliance with relevant automotive functional safety standards such as ISO 26262.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and test teams to mitigate risks and implement design improvements.
• Develop and maintain reliability models, predictions, and metrics for key systems and components.
• Support planning and execution of validation and reliability test programs.
• Investigate field and test failures, performing root cause analysis and corrective action.
• Report safety and reliability status, risks, and recommendations to engineering leadership.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of safety and reliability processes and tools.
• Mentor engineers and share best practices in safety and reliability engineering.
