Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in managing high-volume invoice processing, ensuring accurate payments, and optimizing workflows. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a collaborative environment while implementing process improvements and strengthening internal controls.

Responsibilities:

- Process and review a high volume of invoices with accuracy and efficiency.

- Utilize Avid Xchange and Concur systems for invoice approvals, expense reporting, and payment processing.

- Identify and resolve discrepancies in invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies.

- Improve accounts payable workflows by streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency.

- Analyze and implement solutions to address control gaps, boosting accuracy and reducing cycle times.

- Perform general ledger coding and manage accruals to maintain financial accuracy.

- Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely payments and effective vendor management.

- Generate reports and provide insights to support financial decision-making.

- Conduct check runs and manage ACH payment processing.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support overall accounting operations. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable within a high-volume environment.

- Proficient in Avid Xchange and Concur systems with hands-on experience in invoice processing and expense management.

- Strong knowledge of general ledger coding, accruals, and vendor management.

- Demonstrated ability to streamline workflows and implement process improvements.

- Exceptional attention to detail with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Skilled in Excel and comfortable navigating accounting systems.

- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.

- Familiarity with ACH payments and check run processes.
