Travel Respiratory Therapist - PICU RT

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with recent children's hospital experience and Indiana license eligibility for a PICU assignment.

Job Details

• Position based in a pediatric inpatient setting with assignments in PICU, NICU, or Pediatric units,

• Primary work area will be L&D but may be assigned to any home unit based on facility need,

• May float between PICU, NICU, Peds, and occasionally to an affiliate hospital,

• Night shifts, either 3x12 or 4x12 hours, with every other weekend required,

• Cerner EMR experience required,

Job Requirements

• Current credentials: NBRC RRT, ACLS, BLS; NRP required if assigned to L&D (can obtain after offer); PALS preferred,

• Indiana State License required; IN temp accepted if application for permanent license is submitted,

• Minimum 2 years of recent PICU experience at a children's hospital within the past 3 years,

• L&D experience required,

• Education must be CoARC accredited and regionally accredited by CHEA,

• University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at graduation,

• 18 months to 2 years of relevant experience required,

• Experience working with Cerner required,

• License required if applicable,

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment,

• Floating among PICU, NICU, and Peds units may be required depending on facility need,

• Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays,

• Dress code and scrub color requirements will be provided upon assignment,

• Perm or PRN employees at the institution must have a 12-month gap before applying as a traveler,

• Up to 5 days of requested time off can be auto-approved,

• Local candidates are accepted for allied positions,

• All travelers may float within the hospital or to an affiliated nearby hospital,
