Travel Respiratory Therapist - Pediatric RT

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a pediatric assignment requiring 18 months recent NICU or PICU experience and current ACLS, BLS, and RRT certifications.

Job Details

• Work in pediatric respiratory therapy, assigned to NICU, PICU, or pediatric units,

• Patient population includes neonatal and pediatric critical care cases,

• May float between NICU, PICU, pediatric units, and affiliate hospitals as needed,

• Night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts, every other weekend required,

• Uses Servo I, Servo U, and Hamilton G5 ventilators,

• Cerner EMR charting is required,

Job Requirements

• Current Indiana or Compact Respiratory Therapist license required if applicable,

• ACLS, BLS, and RRT certifications required; NRP required if placed in L&D (can be obtained after offer),

• PALS certification is preferred,

• Minimum 18 months of recent experience in a Level I children's hospital in the past year, specifically in NICU or PICU,

• Graduation from a CoARC and regionally CHEA-accredited program,

• Cerner EMR experience required,

• AHA or RQI certifications are accepted and must be current upon consideration,

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment,

• Planned time off (RTO) of 5 days or less can be auto-approved,

• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays as part of the schedule,

• If previously employed as Perm or PRN, a minimum of 12 months away from the facility is required before returning as a traveler,

• Assigned home unit (NICU, PICU, or Peds) may change based on facility need,
