Job Details
• NICU is the home unit, with assignment to NICU, PICU, or Pediatric Acute Care determined upon arrival based on facility need,
• Primary work will be in Labor & Delivery (L&D),
• Floating to PICU and Pediatric Acute Care is required; all travelers may also float to affiliate hospitals nearby,
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM,
• Every other weekend (EOW) required,
• Cerner EMR - experience required,
• Pediatric and neonatal patient population,
Job Requirements
• Current IN state license or Compact License required prior to start date - license required if applicable,
• Active certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and NBRC RRT,
• PALS preferred,
• Indiana license required,
• Minimum 2 years of NICU or PICU experience,
• Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience required,
• Children's hospital experience within the last 3 years required; candidates with Level I Trauma adult facility experience may be considered,
• Education must be accredited by CoARC and regionally accredited by CHEA,
• 2 supervisor references required for consideration,
• SSN and DOB required for consideration,
• Proficiency with respiratory medication administration including albuterol, racemic epinephrine, Pulmicort, Mucomyst, and related agents,
• Skills in airway management, ABG interpretation, tracheostomy care, ventilator management (CPAP, BIPAP, weaning), and neonatal/pediatric respiratory equipment,

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,
• Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays,
• Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved; any additional RTO requires facility approval,
• Local candidates (Indiana residents) are accepted for this Allied position,
• Any current or former permanent or PRN IU Health employee must have a 12-month break before applying as a traveler,
• Current or past IU Health travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within IU Health are required to take a consecutive break to reset travel eligibility - contact your recruiter for details,
• AHA and RQI certifications are accepted and must be current,
• Scrub color or dress code not specified,
