Position: IT PROJECT MANAGER (APPSW) with Security Clearance
Duties Help
* Coordinates maintenance and support activities of a major finance and/or accounting automated information system with IT specialists, project managers, and functional users to ensure system adequacy and efficiency.
* Assists staff in determining priorities and ensures adequacy of project plans; technical proposals; and the analysis, design, testing, debugging, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of software and systems.
* Performs studies to monitor and improve or enhance a major finance and/or accounting automated information system.
* Develops qualitative and quantitative measures of effectiveness in meeting project goals.
* Assists in the administration of contracts and provides input into development of statements of work, establishment of project objectives and project plans, evaluates technical proposals, and monitors contractor's work performance. Requirements Help Conditions of employment

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade GS-12 in the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience is defined as:
Leading projects and teams supporting financial and accounting information systems; experience with business processes surrounding the Java software development life cycle of IT systems, including analysis, design, programming, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance; experience in structured project management activities.
