IT Cybersecurity Specialist; Infosec Security Clearance

Position: IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) with Security Clearance
Duties Help
* Develops, plans, and implements the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) Cybersecurity/Information Assurance Programs and Pconducts defensive cybersecurity operations on assigned terrain.
* Investigates, analyses, and responds to cyber incidents within the network environment or enclave.
* Ensures that each information systems is operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with applicable policies and practices.
* Coordinate and provide expert technical support to enterprise-wide cyber defense technicians to resolve cyber defense incidents. Requirements Help Conditions of employment

Specialized experience is defined as: demonstrating knowledge of risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk), cybersecurity principles and, cyber threats and vulnerabilities. Demonstrated understanding of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies. Ability to perform cyber defense trend analysis and reporting while coordinating incident response functions. Volunteer

You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
