Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Desktop Support Technician to join a highly visible end-user support team responsible for supporting a large enterprise environment. This role is ideal for a technical professional who combines strong troubleshooting abilities with outstanding customer service and communication skills.

The Desktop Support team supports approximately 20,000 devices across multiple locations, including laptops, desktops, workstations, mobile devices, printers, scanners, credit card machines, and specialized diagnostic equipment. The ideal candidate is a "jack-of-all-trades" who enjoys solving technical problems, learning new technologies, and providing exceptional support to end users.

Key Responsibilities

+ Provide onsite and remote desktop support for end users across multiple locations.

+ Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and peripheral issues.

+ Support Windows 11, Microsoft 365 applications, Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex, and Citrix environments.

+ Troubleshoot laptops, desktops, workstations, printers, scanners, phones, and specialized business devices.

+ Assist users with connectivity issues involving network-attached devices and workplace technology.

+ Respond to and resolve incidents through the organization's ticketing system while maintaining excellent customer service.

+ Set up, configure, deploy, and replace end-user devices as needed.

+ Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and systems teams to resolve escalated issues.

+ Support conference room and collaboration technologies.

+ Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and recurring issues.

+ Travel between local sites as needed to provide hands-on support.

Required Qualifications

+ 5+ years of Desktop Support, Technical Support, or End User Computing experience.

+ Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

+ Proven experience troubleshooting Windows operating systems and desktop hardware.

+ Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

+ Experience supporting Citrix environments.

+ Knowledge of Webex or other enterprise collaboration platforms.

+ Ability to troubleshoot a wide variety of devices and technologies.

+ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.

+ Experience working in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Preferred Qualifications

+

Experience with Azure or hybrid cloud environments.

+ Familiarity with Microsoft Intune and Jamf.

+ Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments with thousands of endpoints.

+ Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.

+ Relevant technical certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Azure, etc.).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $31.00/hr.
