Start your consulting career on a multi year public sector modernization program in Indianapolis and grow with it. You will join a small, experienced delivery team that is moving a large regulatory platform to the cloud and then expanding it across multiple program areas. Because the team is small, you will not sit on the sidelines. You will meet the people who use the system every day, write the requirements, test the results, and see your work go live.
This is a hybrid role in Indianapolis. You will split your time between the client site downtown and the new CGI Indianapolis office, so you get in person coaching from experienced, senior consultants rather than a screen full of strangers. At CGI you are a partner, not just an employee. Partners are eligible to participate in the share purchase plan with a company match and to share in company profits, and we invest in the training and certifications that build your career.
This role is a hybrid work environment located in Indianapolis, IN.
Gather, document, and confirm business requirements through interviews, workshops, and job shadowing with business users. Write user stories and acceptance criteria in the team backlog and keep them current through each sprint. Document current state business processes, map them to the new platform, and flag gaps and workarounds. Support data migration by profiling legacy data, documenting field level mappings, and helping reconcile exceptions.
Build and run functional test cases, log defects, retest fixes, and track them to closure. Support user acceptance testing, including script preparation, session facilitation, and issue triage. Draft end user documentation, quick reference guides, and training material. Prepare agendas, capture decisions and action items from working sessions, and follow them to completion. Validate configuration and reports against documented requirements under the guidance of senior consultants.
Take part in daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Bachelor's degree. Able to work onsite in the Indianapolis metro area on a hybrid schedule. Clear writing and comfortable talking with business users. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. Organized, able to track detail across more than one workstream at a time. Explore opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and digital tools to improve business processes, reporting, documentation, and user experience.
Able to pass the background check required for public sector work. Legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without employer sponsorship. All work must be performed within the United States. CGI's benefits are offered to eligible professionals on their first day of employment to include: competitive compensation, comprehensive insurance options, matching contributions through the 401(k) plan and the share purchase plan, paid time off for vacation, holidays, and sick time, paid parental leave, learning opportunities and tuition assistance, wellness and well being programs.
