Manager Category Management
Manager of Category Management is a people leader and working manager responsible for the strategic and operational management of assigned supply and service categories across the network. This role leads Category Management team members while overseeing category strategy development, sourcing execution, supplier performance, and measurable financial and operational outcomes.
This role partners with clinical, operational, and Supply Chain stakeholders to support standardization, utilization optimization, supplier performance, and cost management initiatives aligned with organizational priorities. This position provides leadership, direction, and oversight for category strategies and sourcing activities while driving consistent execution and continuous improvement.
Lead category strategies and sourcing initiatives (RFPs, negotiations, contracts)
Manage and develop Category Management team members
Partner with clinical, operational, Finance, and Supply Chain stakeholders
Drive supplier performance, savings, and contract compliance
Utilize data to inform decisions, identify opportunities, and validate results
Support cross-functional implementation and process improvements
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required.
Master's degree is preferred.
Two (2) or more years of leadership, team management, or direct oversight experience is preferred.
Seven (7) or more years of progressive experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, category management, or related field is required.
Experience in healthcare supply chain, strategic sourcing, or category management is preferred.
Demonstrated experience leading complex sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and cross-functional projects is required.
