Operations Intern

We are currently seeking an Operations Intern to join our team in Indianapolis, IN.

What You'll Do:
- Assists with logistics coordination and inventory management activities to support efficient distribution center operations.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for scheduling inbound shipments to the distribution center and maintaining inbound visibility.
- Provides daily updates on inbound receipts, put-away activities, and inventory discrepancies.
- Collaborates with Operations leadership, internal buyers, and logistics partners to improve inbound planning and execution.
- Support workforce allocation planning based on daily inbound volumes and operational priorities.
- Investigate and help resolve inventory, receiving, and transactional discrepancies through data analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, productivity, and service levels.
- Assists with process mapping, documentation, and operational performance reporting.
- Work closely with Operations Supervisors to gain hands-on experience and provide support across receiving, inventory control, picking, packing, and shipping functions.
- Support special projects and other operational initiatives as assigned.
- Responsible for behaving in a professional manner both internally and externally in relationships that positively impact the company's reputation and comply with the company's policies and practices.
- Responsible for promoting Breg's culture within the organization using established tools such as storytelling, providing focused feedback, and recognition.

What You Bring:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of supply chain, logistics, inventory management, and distribution center operations.
- Computer proficient to include web browser/internet search, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and Power Point capabilities. Technical competence includes the ability to learn new software and systems.
- Experience using artificial intelligence productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude preferred.
