Director of Purchasing Crew Carwash, a leading express and full-service carwash operator across Indiana and the Midwest, is seeking a Director of Purchasing to lead enterprise-wide sourcing and procurement for chemicals, parts, equipment, and supplies that power our high-volume carwash network. In this role, you will build and execute purchasing strategy, negotiate key vendor contracts, and optimize cost, quality, and reliability across our supply base.
You will oversee demand planning and inventory for a multi-site operation, ensuring our locations have what they need to deliver exceptional customer experiences every day. Partnering closely with Operations, Finance, and Facilities, you'll align purchasing with new site growth, maintenance, and capital projects while implementing effective systems, policies, and KPIs for continuous improvement. This position leads and develops a team, modeling Crew Carwash's people-first, servant leadership culture.
You'll coach team members, promote cross-functional collaboration, and drive process innovation while upholding high standards of safety, integrity, and service. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute enterprise-wide purchasing and sourcing strategy for all carwash locations and the support center
- Lead, coach, and develop the purchasing and supply chain team in line with Crew Carwash's people-first culture
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service levels with key vendors to ensure quality, reliability, and cost savings
- Oversee demand planning, inventory management, and distribution for chemicals, parts, equipment, and supplies
- Establish and track KPIs for supplier performance, cost, quality, and on-time delivery; drive continuous improvement
- Partner with Operations, Finance, and Facilities to align purchasing plans with growth, new site openings, and maintenance needs
- Implement and optimize procurement systems, purchasing policies, and internal controls for accuracy and compliance
- Manage supplier risk, ensure supply continuity, and develop strategic supplier partnerships across the Midwest
- Champion safety, quality, and sustainability standards in sourcing decisions and vendor selection
- Prepare and manage the purchasing budget; provide executive reporting and recommendations to senior leadership
