Position: Supply Chain and Logistics Intern – Operational Excellence (OpEx) - Summer 2027

Operational Excellence Intern

This is an in-person internship based at a CVS Distribution Center in Indianapolis, IN, where you'll be part of an on-site engineering-focused team where you will be expected to be on-site and in-person Monday – Friday. If you live more than 50 miles from your assigned location, you may be eligible for a one-time relocation stipend. In this role, you'll help drive continuous improvement in supply chain operations by applying Lean methodologies, using data to guide decisions, and collaborating across teams.

Key responsibilities include enhancing safety, quality, and delivery performance, managing labor and warehouse systems, and leading change initiatives across the distribution network.

The hourly rate is $26 per hour with 40 hours/week, no work on July 4th (company holiday), and two days of paid leave.

Required Qualifications

  • Meet educational requirements
  • Availability to work full-time for the duration of the internship program
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership experience through student organizations, athletics, volunteer work, or academic projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively
  • Prior internship, co-op, or work experience in supply chain, logistics, operations, or a related business/technical field
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Access, SQL, or similar platforms
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus

Education

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree
  • Anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028
  • Major, minor or concentration relevant to the position such as related majors:

Pay Range

$25.00 - $25.00
