Position type:
Exempt
- Lead OpEx projects for improvements to manufacturing capabilities and processes.
- Identify OpEx savings and help initiate projects.
- Optimize manufacturing space by reviewing product flow and plant layouts using LEAN principles.
- Report OpEx results to senior management both on and off site.
- Participate in and/or lead LEAN, process improvement teams and other small project technical teams.
- Develop and implement process improvements to make most efficient use of labor, equipment, and materials.
- Support process for identifying root causes and implement corrective actions for production problems and develop re-work instructions as needed.
- Manage process documentation, including work instructions, safety documentation, etc.
- Support the training of manufacturing staff and provide them with work instructions and manuals.
- Education:
BS in Process, Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, related engineering fields or 5-years' experience in manufacturing. - OpEx program management.
- High attention to detail and organization.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to solve complex technical problems.
- Able to manage and complete multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Must meet ITAR requirements or have the ability to obtain an Export License
- Some travel, both domestic and international may be required.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Advanced knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards.
- Formal LEAN training and experience.
- Expertise with engineering software.
- Experience in powdered metal manufacturing.
