Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
An FDA processing & packaging facility is growing and needs more talented Technicians/Mechanics to join the team on a direct hire basis. As a team member, Technicians/Mechanics maintain, troubleshoot, and repair high-volume food manufacturing equipment, prioritizing personnel and food safety always. An entrepreneurial spirit and out-of-box thinker is needed, to share new ideas & solutions.
Responsibilities- Respond & react to mechanical issues in the production environment in a timely & efficiently.
- Complete maintenance projects - PM tasks and work orders as assigned.
- Read electrical schematics & mechanical diagrams.
- Write parts requests, complete work orders, & write corrective work orders
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Perform building inspections & routines
- Communicate with other team members
- Perform Lock-Out-Tag-Out when necessary
- Minimum 4 years work experience in a maintenance mechanic/technician role within manufacturing (welding, machining, plumbing, pipe fitting, electricity.
- Must have strong mechanical & troubleshooting skills in AC/DC motors, motor control circuits, photo-eyes, sensors, etc. plus experience on conveyance systems.
- Familiarity with CMMS work order systems
- Experience working within an FDA-regulated setting is required
- Good attention to detail & ability to understand verbal & written instructions in English
- Experience reading blueprints & drawings is a necessity
- Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Must be able to work at heights from ladders or scissor lifts
- Must be able to work around very strong magnets

- Days 6a-6p (48-hour weeks) on a Continental Shift w/a twist
- $30.25 or $34.75 for Level 1 and Level 2 Technicians
