Material Handler
A prominent manufacturer in the Indianapolis area is seeking a dedicated Material Handler for the 1st shift. The selected candidate will engage in activities such as bending, cutting, or punching holes in sheets of metal, contributing to the company's production processes.
Responsibilities:
- Operate sit-down forklift to facilitate material movement.
- Load and unload trucks for shipping and receiving purposes.
- Handle materials efficiently to ensure smooth workflow.
- Utilize basic Microsoft Excel skills for data management.
Essential
Skills:
- Proficiency in operating sit-down forklift.
- Experience in loading and unloading trucks.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
- Understanding of material handling techniques.
Additional Skills &
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with overhead crane operations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Experience with press brake and punch press machinery.
- Competence in machining and using calipers.
- Laser operation skills.
- Sandblasting and grinding experience.

The 1st shift operates from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch and a paid 10-minute break.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
