Material Handler III - 2nd Shift
The Material Handler III is responsible for the shipping, receiving, storage, inventory control, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment that support manufacturing operations. This role ensures accurate inventory transactions, material movement, and timely delivery of materials while maintaining compliance with GMP, ISO 90001, and company quality standards.
Key responsibilities include performing advanced material handling functions, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and material distribution. This includes receiving, inspecting, verifying, and storing incoming materials against purchase orders and shipping documentation. The role also involves preparing, packaging, and processing outbound shipments while maintaining accurate shipping records. Stocking, distributing, and replenishing materials for manufacturing operations, performing inventory transactions using SAP or other inventory management systems, resolving inventory discrepancies, managing delivery releases and order allocations within inventory systems, preparing material kits to support assembly and production operations, conducting inventory audits, and assisting with inventory forecasting are also part of the role.
Safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, collaborating with internal departments to support manufacturing and customer requirements, following GMP, ISO 90001, safety, and quality procedures at all times, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and performing additional duties as assigned are also key responsibilities.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, minimum three years of material handling, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience, experience with SAP or other inventory management/ERP systems, knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO 90001, forklift and material handling equipment experience preferred, proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and ability to perform basic mathematical calculation.
