POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Preprint Superintendent your roles and responsibilities will include:

The client is seeking a Preprint Superintendent to lead production operations at its Indianapolis Preprint facility. This position will oversee daily manufacturing activities while driving safety, quality, productivity, employee development, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily production of preprint products in a safe, efficient, and productive environment.
• Manage employees including training, scheduling, assigning work, performance evaluations, coaching, and discipline.
• Champion EHS, safety, and OSHA compliance throughout the production operation.
• Drive improvements in quality, productivity, efficiency, and manufacturing processes.
• Maintain high standards across printing, finishing, and shipping operations.
• Ensure plant housekeeping standards and established procedures are consistently followed.
• Develop regular and overtime staffing schedules based on production requirements.
• Build teamwork through employee involvement, empowerment, and effective communication.
• Identify and resolve employee, production, and operational issues.
• Participate in capital planning, project spending, and implementation activities.
• Manage inventory levels and stock control and coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Promote continuous improvement and reliable manufacturing methods.

QUALIFICATIONS

Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Preprint Superintendent who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Preprint Superintendent would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing; preprint manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Strong production/plant leadership experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical and technical manufacturing processes.
• Strong planning, organization, prioritization, delegation, and time-management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop production teams.
• Strong problem-solving and process-management capabilities.
• Experience with safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in preprint, printing, paper, packaging, corrugated, or related manufacturing.
• Experience with printing, finishing, and shipping operations.
• Experience with inventory management, vendors, and capital projects.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Compensation: Based on Experience. One of the best in the industry
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum Experience: 5+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing; preprint manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
